About Dan Silver

I am an award-winning writer, editor and digital strategist who has worked on some of the UK’s most iconic brands including The SunDaily Mirror and NME, and contributed to countless others ranging from The Times and The Observer to Classic Rock and Melody Maker.

After a decade or so working on consumer lifestyle magazines I moved to national newspapers and launched the groundbreaking MirrorFootball website and social media phenomenon, changing the way mainstream media outlets covered the UK’s national sport in the process.

Reflecting my backgrounds tech, sport and music, I am obsessed with virtual reality, manage an under-10s football team at weekends, and once convinced Mick Jones of The Clash to perform ‘(White Man) in Hammersmith Palais’ onstage for the final time in Hammersmith Palais for the 2007 NME Awards.

I am currently interested new opportunities with media organisations, start-ups and digital agencies, and am also available for select freelance commissions and consultancy projects. Drop me a line at dansilver27@gmail.com for more details.
